You are so much mistaken if you believe that good old chili con carne is too difficult to cook! Try this yummy and easiest-ever recipe that suits any occasion! Chili con carne is especially good when served over rice.

 

What you will need :

  • Lean ground beef – 1 pound
  • Onion – 1 cup, chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • Chili powder – 3 tbsps
  • Garlic – 2 tsps, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Canned tomatoes – 1 (15 ounces) can, peeled and diced
  • Canned kidney beans - 1 (15 ounces) can, drained
  • Spaghetti sauce – 1 cup
  • Salsa – 1 cup
  • Taco sauce – ¼ cup

How to Make It :

 
  1. Put a large saucepan over a medium fire, brown ground beef with onion and red pepper. Drain off grease, if desired.
  2. Add the chili powder, bay leaf, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, spaghetti sauce, taco sauce and salsa, stir well. Reduce to simmer. Cook for 1 ½ hours, stirring regularly.
  3. Add beans before serving. Heat through
